The Hague Municipal Office, The Hague, The Netherlands designed by Rudy Uytenhaak
In this new municipal office, contact both with the outside world and within the organisation is enhanced by the building’s triangular form. Because the workstations are placed in an open-plan office design around the atrium, staff have sightlines to each other and to other departments. By breaking open the corners of the triangular form, every department’s area is provided with special points with outside views. There is a corridor circuit on each storey, so encouraging informal contact between employees and different departments. There are stairways at regular intervals in these corridors, so vertical circuits are also created. -- ArchDaily

Designed to fit within the urban context of the Los Angeles Civic Center, the new 491,000-square foot Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Headquarters features areas dedicated to police administration and operations. The design is modern with both physical and metaphorical connections to the surrounding community. Setbacks, necessary for security reasons, are captured as opportunities for integrating the site at the human scale: a one-acre park; public art program, and plaza relate to passers-by and engage them with the headquarters. -- architect's web site

Tudela Courts, Tudela, Navarra, Spain, 2011 designed by Otxotorena Arquitectos
The building occupies a singular geometry plot, the available space has the form of an almost equilateral triangle whose facades give urban roads of different character. The shape of the plot causes a volumetric compactness. Therefore, the first decision, in the face of division of labor, is introducing a void in the heart of the apple that is configured as a covered patio that introduced light in the center of the building that houses the main staircase symbolic way of building. The various uses of the building are arranged around this courtyard is formally defined as a triangle equivalent to form external alignments, although the different needs of each surface uses this triangle move south of the block. -- ArchDaily
